Terms of Service
Please read these terms carefully before using the JN Electronics online shopping platform.

1. Agreement to These Terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the JN Electronicsonline shopping website and related services (collectively, the “Platform”). By browsing the Platform, creating an account, or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
2. About JN Electronics
JN Electronics operates consumer electronics retail stores in Uganda, with branches in Kampala and Mbarara. The Platform allows customers to browse products, place orders online, and choose delivery or in-store pickup, subject to the rules below.
- Kampala branch: William Street, Kampala Central, Kampala
- Mbarara branch: High Street, Mbarara Town, Mbarara
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, or have consent from a parent or legal guardian, to use the Platform and place orders. By using the Platform, you confirm that information you provide is accurate and that you are legally capable of entering into binding contracts under the laws ofUganda.
4. Accounts and Guest Checkout
You may register for an account using your email address or phone number and a secure password, or checkout as a guest without creating an account. Registered customers may view order history, track orders, and update personal information. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account.
Guest customers may later register using the same email address or phone number, and eligible previous orders may be linked to the new account where supported by the Platform.
5. Products, Pricing, and Availability
We sell consumer electronics including phones, accessories, and related products. Product descriptions, images, specifications, and prices are displayed in good faith but may contain errors. We reserve the right to correct pricing or description errors and to cancel orders affected by such errors, with a refund where payment has already been received.
Stock is maintained per branch. Availability shown online reflects our records at the time of display and is not a guarantee until your order is confirmed by our staff.
6. Orders and Fulfillment
When you submit an order, you make an offer to purchase the selected items. All orders are subject to review and confirmation by our staff before fulfillment. You will receive an order reference for tracking purposes.
During checkout you must provide:
- Full name
- Phone number
- Delivery address (for delivery orders) or pickup branch selection (for pickup orders)
Delivery: We deliver countrywide within Uganda where delivery service is available. Delivery timelines are estimates and may vary by location.
Pickup: You may collect eligible orders from our Kampala or Mbarara branch during stated operating hours. Bring your order reference and valid identification where requested.
7. Order Changes and Cancellation
You may modify or cancel an order only while it has not reached the “Out for Delivery” status. Once an order is out for delivery or has been delivered, changes or cancellation may no longer be available through the Platform. Contact us promptly if you need assistance.
We may cancel an order if items are unavailable, payment cannot be confirmed, we suspect fraud, or we cannot fulfill the order for operational reasons. Cancelled orders remain recorded in our systems as required by our business rules.
8. Payment
The Platform supports the payment methods displayed at checkout, which may include:
- Mobile Money and Bank Transfer for delivery orders (payment before dispatch, subject to confirmation by our team)
- Cash at pickup when you collect your order in-store
Authorized staff may determine whether online payment is required before an order is dispatched, based on operational considerations including delivery location. Payment instructions for pending orders will be communicated to you by our team. You must not submit fraudulent payment claims or duplicate payments for the same order.
9. Returns, Defects, and Refunds
If you receive a defective or incorrect item, contact us as soon as possible through our Contact page or branch details above. Returns and refunds are handled case by case in line with applicable consumer protection laws in Ugandaand our store policy. Proof of purchase may be required. Refunds, where approved, will be processed using a reasonable method having regard to how payment was originally made.
10. Promotions
Promotional offers, discounts, and banners displayed on the Platform are subject to their stated terms and availability. We may withdraw or amend promotions at any time. Promotions cannot normally be combined unless explicitly stated.
11. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Platform for unlawful purposes or in violation of any applicable law in Uganda
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or data
- Interfere with the proper working of the Platform, including by automated scraping or abuse
- Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent orders or payment information
12. Intellectual Property
All content on the Platform, including logos, product images, text, and software, is owned by or licensed to JN Electronics and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or exploit Platform content without our prior written consent, except for personal shopping use permitted by the Platform.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law in Uganda, JN Electronics shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising from your use of the Platform. Our total liability for any claim relating to a specific order shall not exceed the amount you paid for that order, except where liability cannot be excluded under mandatory consumer protection legislation.
The Platform is provided on an “as available” basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, particularly during maintenance or events outside our reasonable control.
14. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Uganda. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform shall first be addressed by contacting us in good faith. If the matter is not resolved, it shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Uganda.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page indicates when they were last revised. Continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
